My first bottle cap! Thanks to the wonderful :iconrudeboyskunk: who came up with this cool idea, and made the bottle cap template

Thought this was rather appropriate considering all the talk about macro these days!

Agreed, I mean I'm not even quite as hard line as Tina is, if it's a reasonable close-up then that's great but honestly the landscapes and awful snap shots....it's degrading actually to have something that we work so hard at be compared to those....I know that sounds really snooty but it's true. You and I, and many others work so so hard at learning our craft and doing our best to get better and better at it every time we take a photo..it'd be nice if people actually appreciated what went into it!

:iconevile33:
That's not being snooty at all  It's the truth! It makes it so much harder for our work to be seen and appreciated when it's buried under a ton of myspace snapshots, blurry landscapes and pics of people's shoes :faint: Sometimes I'm torn between wanting this site to be somewhat elitist and up it's standards by NOT allowing pics that are just a run of a mill snapshot..I.E. quick in the mirror pics, crap like that. But on the other hand, some of those people do really want to learn and are in the right place. I don't think there will be a happy balance :faint:
But we can keep trying to educate people :giggle:

Great one (the bottle cap I mean 8-) ) I think this is really going to catch on, I have always heard that size does not matter, but it always seems to be said with a smile, but I agree macro rocks when done right
:iconpreludium:

So very true dear! SIZE does matter...;)
